I saw you in my dreams last night,
A fading shadow in soft moonlight.
You smiled, but didn’t speak a word,
Your silence louder than I’d heard.
We walked through places I once knew,
But they felt strange without you.
I reached for you, but you were gone,
Like mist that vanishes with dawn.
You lingered there, just out of reach,
A lesson dreams can never teach.
I saw you in my dreams, so near,
But woke alone, with nothing here.
